HARDY was tapped by hip-hop superstars Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine to record his own rendition of Snoop and Dre’s Grammy-nominated track “Gin and Juice” to coincide with the launch of their new beverage line of the same name.

The Country Star Was Enlisted Personally By The Rappers

The track, available today, April 19, keeps the same mid-tempo beat as the original, which dropped in January of 1994 as the second single from Snoop’s debut album, Doggystyle. In honor of this Dr. Dre-produced project reaching its 30thanniversary, the rappers teamed up once again to roll out their premium gin-based canned cocktails, marking the first ready-to-drink product from from their new premium spirits company, Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop.

“A while back, I got a phone call saying that Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg would like for me to record my own version of ‘Gin and Juice’ for the launch of their new drink, Gin & Juice,” says HARDY. “I’m still in disbelief, but I am so stoked that I’m dropping my version of ‘Gin and Juice’ with the blessing of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg themselves. Thankful for the opportunity.”

A Country-Rock Version Of The Iconic Track

HARDY’s version taps into his signature country-rock sound with the lyrics slightly altered to better fit his redneck, Mississippi-bred lifestyle.

“With so much drama out in Tennessee/ It’s kinda hard bein’ H-A-R-D-Y/ But I somehow some way/ Keep coming up with country ass shit like every single day,” he delivers in the top of the tune.

As HARDY continues onto the chorus, the banjo plucks are highlighted among the string of “laid back” guitar riffs and steady drum beats creating a hip—swaying beat.

He sings, “Rollin’ down the street, smokin’ indo/ Sippin’ on gin and juice/ Laid back/ With my mind on my money and my money on my mind/ Rollin’ down the street, smokin’ indo/ Sippin’ on gin and juice/ Laid back/ With my mind on my money and my money on my mind.”

The country star’s version is promised to be accompanied by a music video slated for release in May. In honor of the new drop, HARDY’s wife, Caleigh, took to Instagram to give fans a sneak peek of the makings of the forthcoming video.

“Pinch me?!?!!?!??!! 🙃🙏🏻🫠,” she wrote alongside a series of photos capturing HARDY getting ready for his on-camera shoot that finds him, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre dressed to the nines in their vintage looks.

New Summer Tour Launching Soon

The new track follows HARDY’s recent headline set at Tortuga Music Festival, as well as his milestone achievement of “TRUCK BED” reaching the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase Country charts. The chart-topper marks HARDY’s first solo Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase Country No. 1, fourth No. 1 as an artist and 15th as a songwriter, including his Rock radio No. 1 “JACK” in 2023.

On May 30, he will kick off his highly-anticipated his summer Quit!! Tour. The trek is named after HARDY’s recently-released diss track that gave fans a glimpse into his first full-fledged rock record, which is expected to drop before the start of the tour. Produced by Live Nation, this 15-date run will find HARDY headlining some of the largest venues of his career. He will make his way to amphitheaters and arenas across North America alongside his openers Kip Moore, Travis Denning, Ella Langley, and Stephen Wilson Jr.
