HARDY was all set to take the stage in Starkville, MS this Thursday, Sept. 12, but new reports suggest Tropical Storm Francine is expected to escalate into a Category 2 hurricane as it heads in that direction. With this news, he and his team have made the call to postpone the show until the following day. The concert at Dudy Noble Field will now take place on Friday, Sept. 13.

The superstar quickly took to social media to share the update with ticket holders and shared in any frustration that his fans may be feeling at the moment.

“It sucks and I hate it, but it is what it is,” said HARDY.

Keeping Fans And Crew Safe From Intense Weather Forecast

Safety was a major factor in deciding to make this change as news outlets like NBC have reported that the storm is “barreling” in the direction of Texas and Louisiana, is expected to bring “life-threatening storm surges.”

“With maximum sustained wind speeds of 65 mph, it is 9 mph short of hurricane status,” the outlet reported.

Most of the Louisiana coastline currently has a hurricane warning in place while a storm surge warning spans all the way from High Island, near Houston, to the Mississippi and Alabama border.

HARDY further emphasizes the urgency of this report as he said, “The weather, it’s going to be blowing crazy wind and stuff. The last thing that I want is to get halfway through a show and then the show get canceled and then nobody gets to see the whole show. But we know for a fact that the weather will be okay the following day on Friday. So that’s when we’re going to do it.”

Ella Langley Will No Longer Perform

The show’s openers Randy Houser and Travis Denning will still be on hand for the new date, however Ella Langley revealed she will no longer be in attendance as she was already scheduled for another show that night.

While HARDY admitted this was not the outcome they had hoped for, he explained that the one “silver lining” is that he will now get to celebrate his birthday with all those in attendance.

“See y all there. Let’s party. Let’s forget the show was every Thursday in the first place and let’s have a good time. Love all,” he added in conclusion.

All original tickets from the Thursday show will be honored for the rescheduled date. For those who can no longer attend, refunds will be available at point of purchase.

Quitt!! Tour Underway

This show will take place as part of HARDY’s headline Quit!! Tour. Produced by Live Nation, this 15-date run finds him performing in amphitheaters and arenas across North America alongside his openers Kip Moore, Travis Denning, Ella Langley, and Stephen Wilson Jr

The trek will come to a close in October when the Mississippi native delivers two back-to-back nights at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater.
