HARDY Wraps ‘THE COUNTRY! COUNTRY! TOUR’ After Performing for More Than 400,000 Fans Across 39 Dates

HARDY is officially closing the chapter on THE COUNTRY! COUNTRY! TOUR after bringing his high-energy show to more than 400,000 fans across 39 stops.

The six-month North American trek kicked off in February in Oshawa, Ontario, before wrapping up this August in New Braunfels, Texas on August 21. Along the way, HARDY brought a stacked lineup of opening acts with him across the various arenas and amphitheaters, including Cameron Whitcomb, Tucker Wetmore, Mitchell Tenpenny, Muscadine Bloodline, Jake Worthington and McCoy Moore.

The tour served as an extension of HARDY’s COUNTRY! COUNTRY! album, giving fans across the country the chance to experience the project in a whole new way.

For HARDY, putting on a memorable show has always been about more than simply getting onstage and performing. When he first began touring and opening for major acts like Morgan Wallen, the Mississippi native made it a goal to not only impress the audience, but to make the headliner a little nervous about following his set.

“Our goal was to shit on the people that we were opening for,” he told Rolling Stone. “We wanted whoever we opened for to watch our show from side stage and be like, ‘Fuck, I’ve got to go on after this.’”

That same competitive drive now fuels HARDY’s own headlining shows, where his goal is to leave every fan feeling like they just witnessed one of the best concerts of their lives.

 “That’s my mindset every time I step on stage,” he shared.

When it comes to his work as a songwriter, however, the country star takes a very different approach. Instead of looking at it as a competition to see who can write the best song, he looks at it as a collaborative process.

HARDY has a rotating group of around 15 writers that he works with regularly and believes that each writer brings something different to the table, adding to the end goal of creating the best song possible.

Now that his COUNTRY! COUNTRY! chapter has come to a close, HARDY is back in the studio working on new music and he’s already teasing that it could be some of his best work yet.

Throughout his career, he’s explored everything from full-blown rock on QUIT!! to a mix of rock and country and, most recently, a project rooted in country music. This time around, HARDY isn’t interested in putting a label on his sound. Instead, he’s letting the music speak for itself. As he puts it, “it’s all Hardy music to me.”

“I can finally say I’m back in the studio, and the next thing is going to be the best thing I’ve ever put out,” HARDY said in a live Q&A with Amazon Music at Cavendish Beach Music festival. “I can confidently tell you it’s the best group of songs, the best concept, the best ideas I’ve ever had. And it rules, I promise you that.”
