Home Free’s Adam Chance and his fiancée Sami Matarante opened up about the beginning of their relationship, their recent engagement and future wedding plans when they took over the Country Now Instagram to answer fan-submitted questions during InsTEN Questions: Couples Edition.

The couple was all smiles as they revealed their favorite board game, place to travel together and more, just days after the news of their engagement broke. Watch it all go down in the video below.

Speaking of their engagement, the romantic moment was captured for the all-vocal group’s new video for their cover of Jason Isbell’s iconic tune, “Cover Me Up.”

The just-released clip features home video footage of the moment Chance got down on one knee in the couple’s kitchen to propose. The baritone singer had originally planned to pop the question during the group’s Dive Bar Saints World Tour, however, when a travel ban was put in place due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, his plans shifted.

“I had carried the ring around the entire tour in preparation for that day,” Chance shared with PEOPLE. “But on March 12, we had to suddenly cancel the rest of our tour and head home due to the pandemic. So, there I was, sitting at home, unsure of when or where I’d even have an opportunity to make it happen, considering we were stuck inside our home for the foreseeable future.”

“March 17 was our two-year anniversary, so I just decided to go for it,” he continued. “We were wearing onesies, and she thought we were about to record something goofy for Instagram — but I got down on one knee instead. I couldn’t wait. It was the best decision I’ve ever made.”
