Jake Owen has penned a new song, and it’s all about Hannah Brown’s surprise return on ABC’s The Bachelor.

Viewers of the show will recall Brown reunited with her former flame, current Bachelor Peter Weber, twice on Monday night’s (Jan. 6) episode of the hit reality show. During the pair’s second encounter, fans watched as Brown admitted she still had feelings for the handsome commercial pilot, who got sent home toward the end of her season. It was that emotional exchange that inspired Owen to write a song.

On Thursday (Jan. 9), Owen took to Twitter Live to share his new song with the world, after explaining to his followers that his girlfriend “had the TV on and all you heard about on the new ‘Bachelor’ was Alabama Hannah.”

“Alabama Hannah, what do you want? / If it’s love that you need, well then honey it’s gone,” Owen unapologetically croons in the clip, while strumming on his guitar. “You had your chances, so won’t you leave me alone. / Alabama Hannah, won’t you go back home.”

Before his performance, Owen insisted he didn’t write the made-up tune to dis Brown, adding that he met her on the last season of The Bachelorette, and considered her a “cool girl.” Instead, he reasoned that he felt Brown had ample opportunity to take Weber as her lover in her previous season. As for Brown, she playfully disagreed. She took to social media and replied to the country star with her own video.

“I’m dying right now! My mom sent me a text that said, ‘S*** you finally got a song written about you’ with a link to a song that Jake Owen wrote after watching me and Peter last Monday on The Bachelor,” the former star of The Bachelorette said in her Instagram story. “By the way, Jake I thought we were cool. It’s hilarious, and even though it’s a dis at me, the whole time I was tapping my foot and laughing to it.”

With no real hard feelings, Brown went on to say she’s open to starring in the music video for Owen’s song, and she’s already on the lookout for some waterproof mascara.

Speaking of music and The Bachelor, earlier this week, ABC announced plans for a musical spin-off series as part of the network’s popular franchise. In the spring, fans will be introduced to The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart. The upcoming series will feature 20 single men and women with to the music industry. The cast will be live together and go out on dates together that are centered around music. The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart debuts April 13 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
