Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Aldean, will attend the 7th Annual Patriot Awards this week, where they’ll present the inaugural Charlie Kirk Legacy Award to Erika Kirk, CEO of Turning Point USA and widow of Charlie Kirk.
The Aldeans will be joined by FOX News Channel’s Jesse Watters to honor Mrs. Kirk with the award, which will be given each year to someone who embodies Charlie Kirk’s mission and values—faith, family, and freedom of speech.
Aldean Will Also Perform
FOX Nation announced the news this morning, revealing that Aldean will also take the stage for a special live performance of his hit songs “Try That in a Small Town” and “How Far Does a Goodbye Go.”

The Aldeans have previously shared their grief over the tragic assassination of their close friend, Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated on September 10, 2025.
“This is a heartbreak so many of us will never get over. Charlie was a father, husband, son, friend and so much more,” Brittany wrote upon his death. “One of the most intelligent people we’ve ever met, fighting for everything right in this world. He put everything on the line to be a voice for those who weren’t able. I admired him. His courage, his intelligence, his faith…. there will truly never be another like him. Charlie you will forever be missed. Trying to find peace in the fact that he’s in heaven shining down on us all, because man he loved Jesus and there’s no doubt that’s what he’s doing❤️💔 Accepted into the arms of Jesus as a good & faithful servant.”
Jason shared: “It’s been a hard day not only in our family, but all over the country. Charlie Kirk was one of the kindest, smartest and bravest people I’ve ever met. I’m honored to have met and spoke with him on a few occasions. He was a man of peace and wanted nothing but the best for our country and its youth. We might have lost Charlie today but what he has done will live on forever. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, kids and the entire Kirk family.”
Later, the couple honored Kirk’s memory with an emotional cover of Luke Bryan’s “Drink a Beer.”
