Jason Aldean and Dierks Bentley will serve as Battle Advisors for Team Kelly and Team Blake, respectively, on the upcoming Season of NBC’s The Voice.
The all-star Battle Round advisors for Season 21 of The Voice were announced via social media on Monday (Aug. 16), following a teaser clip that had fans on their edge of their seats guessing who the advisors could be.
“Alright everybody, it’s time to announce who my battle advisor is this season…” Clarkson said before revealing “Jason Aldean.”
“You were right, it’s Dierks Bentley!” Shelton exclaimed as Bentley was revealed.
“I don’t even like that guy,” Jason joked on Entertainment Tonight, referencing Shelton, when joining Team Kelly. “Yeah, we don’t even like Blake,” Clarkson added. “I can’t even say that without smiling.”
“He is actually a great mentor, i’ve learned a lot from watching, I hate to give him compliments cause it gets weird,” Bentley said of Shelton in a clip with Access Hollywood, before Shelton added, “Can I sum it up here, the reason why we make a good pairing… Dierks knows when to hold ’em and I know when to fold ’em.”
The upcoming season of The Voice will feature Shelton, Clarkson, Ariana Grande and John Legend as coaches, while Carson Daly is set to return as the show’s host.
It was also revealed that Kristen Chenoweth will join the show as the advisor for Team Ariana and Camila Cabello will join as the advisor for Team Legend.
This year marks the 21st season of the hit singing competition show.
Fans can tune in to the season 21 premiere of The Voice on Monday, Sept. 20 on NBC.
