Just one day before the Thanksgiving holiday, Jelly Roll turned to his followers with a very unique request. The “Need A Favor” singer pleaded for someone to help him contact Barrs Music City Soul Food to secure some of the establishment’s famous dressing before Turkey Day.

“Alright y’all, I f***** up and I need your help. I’m a husband, so I did what husbands do. I told my wife I would take care of the dressing,” the newly crowned CMA New Artist of the Year shared in a selfie-style TikTok clip.

Turned To Fans To Help Him Get Dressing

He went on to explain that he was hoping to purchase dressing from his “favorite restaurant” but ultimately realized waiting until the day before Thanksgiving was a bad idea.

“I can’t get nobody on the phone for the dressing. We need help. Please, if you have a contact at Barrs Music City Soul Food in Nashville. It’s the best dressing ever. Tell that lady I’ll give her a thousand dollars for two pans of Barrs Music City Soul Food dressing for my family on Thanksgiving. Somebody in Nashville knows this lady. Please help me.”

Barrs Music City Soul Food Is His Favorite Restaurant

He also took to X with his request, writing, “Dear Nashville does anyone have a plug BARRS MUSIC CITY SOUL FOOD- I’ll pay someone handsomely to help me convince them to make me some dressing for Thanksgiving.”

Fans came together and the message made its way to Barrs Music City Soul Food, who responded on Facebook. Even though Jelly Roll’s request came in the eleventh hour of Thanksgiving Day preparations, the restaurant promised to fulfill his order.

Restaurant Responds

“Jelly Roll, “We Got You!,” the establishment shared. On the post, the restaurant also used the hashtag #1000for2PansofDressing in reference to Jelly Roll’s TikTok video.

It appears the singer/songwriter’s last-minute Thanksgiving request has the potential to positively impact the small business. The comments section was filled with Jelly Roll’s fans who promised to visit Barrs Music City Soul Food the next time they are in Nashville, which could likely give the restaurant a pool of new customers.
