It’s no secret that Jessie James Decker and her former NFL wide receiver husband, Eric Decker are couple goals. Between their fit lifestyle and beautiful family, the beloved duo seems like they have a picture-perfect life. However, the country music star took to Instagram Wednesday, October 27, to share that she even struggles with weight loss and revealed the workout routine that works best for her body.
The hitmaker’s confession followed a high-intensity workout video that was filmed during a private training session on Tuesday, October 26, and posted to her personal Instagram account. In the short clip, the “Should Have Known Better” songstress rocked a matching yoga set and performed a difficult circuit containing – high-knees, pull-ups, weighted deep lunges, crunches, and more.

“Let’s Go, baby!!! Sweat it out! Put in the work! I work out hard so I can eat good and enjoy my wine 😜. All about balance, sweet cheeks!” Decker captioned the post. It wasn’t long until fans flooded the comment section questioning her at-home workout routine, diet plan, and praising her post-baby body.
“You are literally all the goals. Keep inspiring the working & entrepreneur mamma’s out there that we can do it all,” says a social media user. “Love your dedication, you look amazing!! #inspiration,” shared another.
As several members of her loyal community supported the healthy lifestyle, she did receive backlash. Decker did not waste time approaching the naysayers head-on, as she posted a statement to Instagram on Wednesday, October 27.
“Okay! Just to be clear… I’m not saying this is the right way to do it, and I’m not saying this is the wrong way to do it. This is one of the ways I like to do it. I’m not pushing this on anyway. I’m simply responding to the messages I get on a daily basis all in one post. Not getting paid to do this, there’s no discount code, etc. this is just me telling you what I have done in the past to see results and CUT quickly,” says the chart-topping artist under a selfie and a diet plan graphic breaking down her daily intake.
Before getting into the nitty-gritty of her régime, she reminded coffee enthusiasts that it is okay to have a cup of joe in the morning with a splash of cream before hitting the gym. Decker continued to share that she tried every program in the book, and after not receiving the results she wanted – she realized that she needed to create a weight loss plan of her own.
“I came up with this one on my own years ago and found that it worked quickly, and I wasn’t hungry at all, and I still got the right amount of protein I needed! I’ve been a little all over the place with my eating and dieting the past couple of months, trying to educate myself and learn as much as possible. This is NOT sustainable forever. I’ve lost 2 pounds in a week…would only do for two weeks. It’s a good re-boost for me!,” confirmed the Kittenish owner.

Decker admitted that she recently went back on the personalized weight loss program because she wanted to “lean up” after having too much fun on vacation with her husband, Eric Decker. “I’ve got tons of muscle from working out and lifting so hard for the past year, but I felt like I couldn’t see enough definition, so I wanted to cut some calories in some places just to see those muscles pop!”
Before wrapping up her long Instagram caption, she called out the individuals leaving negative remarks on her fitness post and the ones sliding into her DMs. “Again, for anyone who gets their panties in a wad, I am NOT saying this is the right way or the wrong way. This is just what has worked for me before. You got to do what works for you & your body, but I’m constantly asked to share some of my dieting and workout tips, and this is one of them! Y’all know I’m an eater and love it enjoy! I have found eating two slices of toast fills me up midday! Giving up bread & carbs is just not a solution for me. So it definitely fulfills that bread need,” she adds.
Decker advised anyone looking for guidance on #breadandproteindiet to leave a comment, and for the ones ready to take on the challenge, she highly recommended staying in the 1200 calorie range for two weeks or less.

After sharing her secret to getting a bikini body, the country star continued to receive backlash. Within just a few hours, Decker removed the post and uploaded the same photo with a new caption, “Guess I’ll stick to sharing my cookies and pasta recipes 💪 😎.”

While she is buckling down to get in tip-top shape and ignoring her haters, she remains a foodie at heart. Just last September, Decker released her cookbook, Just Feed Me. The paperback full of mouthwatering bites follows her New York Times bestselling book, Just Jessie.
With the cliché motto on top of mind “everything in moderation” and with Halloween just around the corner, the award-winning author and lifestyle guru shared a candy and wine guide on Instagram that features delicious sweet treat pairings.
