Jo Dee Messina will soon hit the road on the Heads Carolina, Tails California Tour.
The 45-plus date tour will be taking Messina all across the U.S. with stops in major markets. The trek kicked off with sold-out shows in North Carolina and South Carolina over the weekend and will continue through November where it’s set to wrap up in Indigo, California.
The tour is all an ode to Messina’s 1996 debut single, “Heads Carolina, Tails California.” This is the first time Messina has toured under her iconic hit’s name and she is furthering the nostalgic theme by embedding retro artwork from her original cover art for the tour’s promotion and limited-edition merchandise.
Fans Are Excited
The platinum-selling artist shared the news on Instagram and fans immediately flocked to the comments section to share their excitement. Some dubbed it the “best news ever,” while others shared their plans to attend an upcoming show.

“It seems crazy that we’ve never toured under the ‘Heads Carolina, Tails California’ banner before. We are so excited to bring people songs that they know, stories we will share and, yes, new music!” Messina shared in a statement.
A “Best Of” Project Is On The Way
In 2022, Messina had a very successful touring career as she sold out multiple venues and broke festival attendance records with her nostalgic flare and high-energy performances. She wrapped up the year with two supporting slots with country music legend, Reba McEntire.
Additionally, Messina announced that a new record, Heads Carolina, Tails California: The Best of Jo Dee Messina will be released in March via Curb Records.
The album features 11 of her timeless hits, including familiar favorites like: “Bye, Bye,” “I’m Alright,” “Lesson In Leavin,’” ”Heads Carolina, Tails California” and more. It marks Messina’s first-ever vinyl release on a limited-edition, 180-gram clear vinyl with wisps of color throughout.
Heads Carolina, Tails California: The Best of Jo Dee Messina will be available on March 10 and can be pre-ordered HERE.
