Jon Pardi’s wife Summer recently took to her Instagram stories to host a Q&A session that gave fans a bit more insight into her second pregnancy. One user asked if the couple had decided on a name for baby No. 2, to which Summer admitted that they were struggling to agree on the subject.
What Will Jon Pardi And Summer Name Their Second Child?
“Jon hates every name I pick and he thinks he’s choosing the name again so we’re currently not talking,” she wrote jokingly with laughing emojis before adding that since Pardi got to name their first baby girl Presley, she gets to choose this one.
In another post, she shared a list of names that they currently like as options: Aspen, Grace, Siena or Sienna, Nelli, Skeye.” Summer also noted that there are “no P names yet” meaning they have yet to decide if they will continue the theme with the next baby.
Following their pregnancy announcement on January 7, the family of three took part in a pizza-themed gender reveal video, which let fans know that Pardi’s reign of being a girl dad will continue.
The Country Star Knew They Were Expecting Another Girl
During a recent conversation between the country star and Audacy’s Katie Neal, he explained that he confidently knew they were going to have another girl while Summer was surprised by the reveal.
“I just knew it. Then Summer thought it was going to be a boy, so I got all excited and switched gears, and it was a girl.”
Even though he had gotten his hopes up that they would have a boy this time around, the newly inducted Grand Ole Opry member appeared to be just as happy with the idea of being a full-on girl dad.
Summer said via Instagram stories that she also guessed they would be having a boy just based on how sick she was feeling in the first trimester this time around compared to when she was pregnant with Presley.
A Surprise
“We were surprised it was another girl…we’re super excited tho for another girl, happy healthy baby is most important,” she wrote. “Also we’re good with 2 babies, I’ll never say never but we don’t have any plans for a 3rd haha.”
Jon and Summer welcomed Presley on February 18, 2023. She arrived weighing 7 lbs, 12 oz, and measuring 20.25 inches. The “Last night Lonely” singer announced Presley’s arrival via Instagram, using a photo of her swaddled up in blankets with the caption: “Our baby girl is here and ready to Pardi haha DAD joke!”
When Is Summer Pardi Due?
According to Summer, she is due in July of 2024, meaning their girls will be very close in age.
“We’re like, let’s get it out of the way instead of wait two years. They’re 18 months apart, so there’ll be buds and it’ll be a lot of fun,” Pardi told Neal in anticipation.
Along with awaiting the arrival of their baby girl, the couple is also in the midst of building their new house, which they shared will not be done until early 2025.
Summer admitted that this timing “actually works out well” because they won’t have to take on the challenge of moving and bringing home a newborn at the same time.
“It’ll give us time to get the house fully ready without rushing or stressing,” she wrote on Instagram alongside photos from their pregnancy announcement which finds the family of three exploring the foundation of their new home.
