Jon Pardi earned his sixth career No.1 with “Your Heart Or Mine.”

The song topped the Mediabase Country Airplay chart this week and follows his No.1 release, “Last Night Lonely.”

“It’s always fun to have a number one song, and it’s a fun song. And to have six number-one songs, I’ll never be upset about that,” Pardi shared upon heading the news.

Pardi didn’t have a hand in co-writing the track (it was written by Justin Ebach, John Pierce, and Mr. Saturday Night album co-producer Bart Butler), but he fell in love with the song instantly.

“‘Your Heart Or Mine’ was one song that when I heard it, I was like, ‘I have to record this,’” he explained.

The California native went into this project with a “best song wins” mindset and it clearly paid off.

“I strictly stand by the best song wins and the old saying, you can’t outwrite Nashville. I understand artists that want to write everything and want to be a part of everything, but for me, I don’t wanna miss out on some of these great ideas. And it gives me a little more time to go dive personally into what I wanna write about or what would make more sense for me to write than other songs,” he previously explained to Country Now and other media. “So it’s just, best song wins. That’s how all these albums are.”

Mr. Saturday Night features 14 tracks and was released in September of 2022. Earlier this year, the project earned an ACM Album of the Year nomination, which was Pardi’s third consecutive nomination in the category as both artist and producer.

Pardi will celebrate his chart-topping success with the launch of his Mr. Saturday Night Tour on Thursday, September 28 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The European leg of the tour was recently sidelined, however, the show will go on in the U.S. with dates running through December 9.

Grand Ole Opry Induction

Jon Pardi will take a break from the tour to visit the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday, October 24. That evening, he will officially be inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
