Jon Pardi informs fans that two upcoming shows in Wilmington, NC and Charleston, SC have been rescheduled. The country star was regretful to make this change, however he revealed he is feeling ill with a chest infection.

He took to his Instagram story to share the unfortunate update with his followers in a message that reads, “Wilmington and Charleston, I’m so sorry, but I have a chest infection that simply won’t allow me to be 100% this weekend.”

The North Carolina show will now take place on Friday, Nov. 1, and the South Carolina date has been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2. Pardi explained that all tickets that have already been purchased will be honored for the new dates.

“My sincere apologies. I just want to give you the show you deserve,” he continued before sharing his appreciation for those who came out to his Baltimore show on Thursday, Sept. 5, marking the launch of the current leg of his Mr. Saturday Night Tour.

“Thank you to Baltimore for coming out and powering through with me. You guys rocked,” the message concluded.

This news is followed by a bit of a brighter note as the CMA and ACM award-winning artist has just unveiled his new single, “Friday Night Heartbreaker.” For his first taste of new music since dropping the ACM-nominated album Mr. Saturday Night, Pardi taps into his knack for weekend anthems and unleashes a buzz-worthy tune penned by Josh Miller, Chris Tompkins, Jessie Jo Dillon, Daniel Ross, and Ryan Hurd.

He’s already got Saturday night covered with “Mr. Saturday Night,” so this time, Pardi has created the perfect track to kickstart the weekend. Throughout the tune, he heeds a warning to anyone who may start to fall under the spell of a woman who is guaranteed to break any hearts that come her way. Although the opportunity may be tempting, he offers a reminder of all the pain that could come from making that mistake.

“Ooh, she’ll get you hypnotized/ Leave you victimized/ She’s a Friday night heartbreaker/ Ooh, she’ll get you with them eyes/ Devil in disguise/ She’s a Friday night heartbreaker/ Hellraiser, game player/ Better do yourself a favor,” Pardi sings on the chorus among the electric guitar riffs.

“Friday Night Heartbreaker” serves as the first look into the superstar’s upcoming Jay Joyce-produced project.

“’Friday Night Heartbreaker’ kicks down the door of this next musical chapter,” shares Pardi. “I challenged myself to elevate in every aspect, and this is the tip of the spear for what’s to come. When I first heard the song, I knew instantly that I had to cut it… and what a journey it was recording alongside the professor Jay Joyce. I’m as excited as I have ever been to share new music.”
