Jordan Davis has teamed up with Danielle Bradbery for his latest song, “Midnight Crisis,” which is set to appear on his forthcoming album.

The multi-platinum artist first shared a snippet of the powerful track on social media, gaining a positive response with over 61.2K views on TikTok.

Ahead of its release, Davis revealed that the mystery female collaborator he had been teasing was in fact Bradbery.

“Pumped about this one.. Had fun making this with Danielle Bradbery,” he wrote in the caption of his recent social media post.

Penned by Davis alongside Paul DiGiovanni and Derrick Southerland, and produced by DiGiovanni, this song conveys the story of ex-lovers that find themselves battling the memories of their past relationship that they’re unable to let go of. If only they could move on by dying their hair a new color or buying a new car, but it’s not that easy because the only thing they want when they lie awake at night is each other. If they find themselves running back to the relationship that didn’t work out in the first place, they know it would “undo all the progress” that they’ve made.

“But this is a midnight crisis / ‘Cause I ain’t got ya / No, I ain’t got ya with me / In this midnight crisis / I’m wide awake / I’m playing back our history / All that I’m wanting is you right now / It hit me right outta the blue / Ain’t never felt nothing like this / This is a midnight crisis,” they sing as they effortlessly match each other’s energy in the chorus.

Davis is branching out from his recent releases and achieves a new level of self-reflection as he delivers a soul-stirring melody in this number. Once the chorus hits, their vocals blend together as smooth as whiskey, while their narratives battle between the wants of their hearts vs their minds.

“Midnight Crisis” comes on the heels of Davis’ recent releases including “Next Thing You Know” and his current single “What My World Spins Around,” which continues to climb the country radio airplay charts. For Bradbery, this track follows her current revenge single co-written by Maren Morris titled, “A Special Place.”

Along with the single’s release, the Louisiana native also dropped the accompanying music video featuring the female powerhouse. In the video, Jordan finds himself sitting at the bar reflecting on his love interest played by Bradberry who is in her own corner grappling with the same problem. By the end of the video, they find themselves coming together and singing side by side.

Davis is currently on The Middle Of Somewhere Tour as direct support for Luke Combs, and during his recent set in Green Bay, WI, he surprised fans by bringing Bradbery on stage to debut their new song.

“She’s one of, if not my favorite voices in Nashville,” Davis told CMT about the songstress.

He also revealed that “Midnight Crisis” was the first song he wrote for his forthcoming full-length project, which is due to drop in February 2023.

Jordan Davis will continue on the road with Luke Combs through December, but this week, he will be making a stop at home in Nashville for two sold-out headlining shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Sept. 27 and Sept. 28.
