Jordan Davis has added another standout track to his catalog with the release of his latest song, “Know You Like That.”

Throughout the new tune, the award-winning singer/songwriter uses his soulful vocals to capture the sentimental state he feels while reflecting on a past love and all the memories they shared together. The song perfectly illustrates what it’s like to run into an old flame and get a glimpse of the life they’ve built since their college romance.

Right as the first chord strikes, listeners are hit with a wave of nostalgia as the mid-tempo melody brings a bittersweet mix of joy and mourning in knowing that chapter of life has officially closed. Once Davis reaches the end of the chorus, he acknowledges that her new love may know what she’s like now, but he will never know the person she was in those carefree days.

“About that road trip to Ole Miss/ Snuck a fifth to the fifty/ That spring break bought cheap shades/ And smoked like a chimney/ You cut off jeans and gasoline/ You had a thing for things that don’t last/ I don’t know you like this/ But he don’t know you like that,” he sings on the emotive chorus.

The Louisiana native admits that immediately upon listening to the tune penned by Ray Fulcher, Thomas Archer, Jordan Rowe, and Michael Tyler, and produced by Paul DiGiovanni, he felt compelled to take it into the studio. Jordan Davis’ recording once again showcases his undeniable ability to take a set of lyrics and breathe life into the story, thus making it his own profound delivery that compels fans to sing along to.

“Know You Like That” provides yet another a preview of Davis’ highly anticipated forthcoming album, which is expected to be unveiled next year.

“Know You Like That is one of the few outside songs that I cut on this next project. Man, the hook of this song just really, from the second I heard it, just grabbed me,” he shared with his label, Universal Music Group. “I thought that they did just an amazing job writing this. And it just feels like one of those classic, nostalgic country songs.”

The song is the latest tease of new music to come since the release of his breakthrough album Bluebird Days. This collection spawned four consecutive No. 1 singles including his. CMA Award winning 5x Platinum hit, “Buy Dirt” and the ACM Song of the Year, “Next Thing You Know.”

Davis got to perform his current single, “I Ain’t Sayin’” during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Wednesday, October 30. Taking the stage alongside his bandmates, the country singer brought the energy up in the live audience with a vibrant performance of the track that quickly rose to Top 30 and continues to climb at country radio.
