Jordan Davis and his wife, Kristen have officially welcomed the newest member of their family.
On Thursday, June 15, the country singer took to social media to share a black and white photo of his newborn son holding onto his fingers, revealing that his wife has given birth to their son named Elijah Patrick.
His caption read, “God is good! My son Elijah Patrick is in the world…His momma did incredible in getting him here and we hope to get him home to his brother and sister soon.”
Many of his fellow country stars were quick to comment their excitement for the parents of three.
Jon Langston wrote, “Congrats brother! Happy for y’all 🙌” while Tigirlily Gold said, “Huge congrats!!!!!!!❤️”
Luke Combs’ wife Nicole also chimed in to say, “A boy!!! Congrats yall 🙌🏼”
The couple announced Kristen’s pregnancy via Instagram in February using Davis’ sentimental song and current radio single, “Next Thing You Know.”
Changing up the lyrics to fit the big news, he sang, “Next thing you know / you got a baby coming in June / acted out the words in no time soon.”
He added, “She got knocked up. Baby number three coming.” While looking to his pregnant wife the country singer asked, “is that how we’re saying it babe? You got knocked up?”
“I think we can find a better way to say that,” Kristen added with a laugh.
“We’re pregnant. Again. Next thing you know…” Davis concluded.
The couple definitely followed the song’s original message which depicts just how fast life can change without you even realizing it.
“You weren’t really tryin’, next thing you know / There’s a test on the counter, next thing you know / She’s standin’ there cryin’, noddin’ her head, “Yes” / You’re half excited, half scared to death,” Davis sings in the second verse, which eventually leads to him dreaming of having grandchildren at the end of the song.
The country star also just dropped the new music video for this fan-favorite. Directed by Running Bear, the video follows one family’s emotional journey, which comes to life through the heartfelt lyrics of “Next Thing You Know.”
In the opening clip, viewers see an elderly couple taking one last look at their family home with a “FOR SALE” sign in the front lawn. Then suddenly, the chapters of their love story unfold through each of their milestones and unforgettable memories together. Davis, who wrote the song with Chase McGill, Greylan James, and Josh Osborne, even brought his own family in for a cameo at the end of the tear-jerking video.

While discussing the topic with his label, the singer/songwriter said, “We pushed the limits once more. We got another one coming in June. I gotta figure out how to not have kids in the summer because I’m usually pretty busy. I don’t know what I was thinking then but, you know I’m so excited.”
At the time, he also revealed that they chose to hold off on finding out the gender of their new baby because they wanted it to be a surprise.
“There truly is no greater joy in the world than welcoming a baby, and we don’t know what it is. We’re gonna wait and find out, but (we’re) really excited come June to be bringing home a baby brother or a baby sister to Lock and Eloise,” he added.
The couple are already parents to their 3-year-old daughter Eloise Larkin and their son Locklan Joseph, who was born into the world on September 4, 2021.
