JUST IN: Darius Rucker Engaged To Girlfriend, Emily Deahl

Darius Rucker is officially engaged to his girlfriend, Emily Deahl.
On the morning of Wednesday, October 8, the country star shared the news with fans via Instagram. The joint post opened with a black and white photo of Rucker knelt down on one knee on what appears to be a beachy boardwalk while Emily gazes at him lovingly. The second photo finds the couple flashing their new status as fiancées as Emily shows off a side view of her large diamond.
Rucker’s caption was full of love and excitement. He wrote, “Thank you for showing me a level of happiness I have never known. The day I met you I knew I didn’t want to go another one without you. Now I don’t have to.”
The lovebirds have kept their relationship relatively under wraps and don’t often share glimpses into their relationship on social media. Fans got confirmation of Rucker’s new relationship back in early September when they went Instagram official. The pair was seen smiling in a selfie taken outside of the Sphere arena in Las Vegas.
“Wizard of Oz at @spherevegas with my love & my boys. 1000/10!!!!!” Rucker wrote in the caption.
It’s unclear how long exactly the two have been together, but there have been some signs on their individual social media accounts that fans may have missed.
What we do know is that Emily is a fellow South Carolina native, but she has also resided around Los Angeles, Nashville and more recently, London. Per her social media accounts, she is a self-proclaimed singer, songwriter, and content creator.
Along with sharing snippets of her life across TikTok and Instagram, she also has a YouTube page full of lifestyle vlogs and music videos. The account currently has over 6k subscribers. According to Spotify, she has been releasing music since 2019, with her latest being 2023’s “22,” “Tarantino,” and “Emily.”
Back in April, she posted a vlog to YouTube that documented her move to London in January 2025, which is the same month that Rucker announced he had also relocated to the UK. A few eagle-eyed fans also caught the fact that the dogs Emily shared in an Instagram post are owned by Darius Rucker.
The “Wagon Wheel” singer previously informed PEOPLE that his move to London wasn’t intended to be permanent. Instead, he decided to simply get a fresh change of pace while he worked on new music and toured the stunning landscape abroad.
This will mark Darius Rucker’s second marriage. He previously tied the knot with Beth Leonard. He shares a daughter, Daniela, and a son, Jack, with Beth and is also a dad to another daughter Carolyn from a previous relationship. He and Beth announced their split in 2020 after 20 years of marriage.
Fans can currently hear Rucker heating up the airwaves on Scotty McCreery’s new song, “Bottle Rockets,” which features Hootie & the Blowfish singing a new rendition of their early hit, “Hold My Hand.”
He also has a slew of performances scheduled throughout the U.S. and Canada through the end of the year.
