Kane Brown is going to be a daddy!
The “Good as You” singer and his wife Katelyn are expecting a baby girl.
The couple, who wed in October 2018, are thrilled to be adding to their family.
“I was excited! We were both really excited when we found out,” Brown shared with Extra.
He also admitted that he got a bit emotional when he and Katelyn got to see their baby for the first time during a sonogram.
“We went to the hospital and actually checked the heartbeat and… we got very more emotional,” he said. “I was getting nervous going down the elevator and once she actually saw the baby… it makes it so much more real, so we were both excited.”
The couple later shared the baby’s gender while walking the red carpet at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
“We’re having a baby girl,” Brown gushed to The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
He later hinted that he has plans to be a protective father, telling People, “I’m prepared. I’m not going to let the baby go — I’m going to hold on to [her] the whole time. I might be carrying the baby down the carpet with me next!”
The newlyweds are already preparing for the new addition to join their family.
“We’ve already got a name,” Brown revealed to ABC News Radio. “We’re just waiting to announce it.”
In the months leading up to the birth of Baby Brown, the father-to-be can be found doing what he does best – performing for fans across the country. The superstar is touring with his good buddy Jason Aldean on the 2019 Ride All Night Tour throughout the summer and into the fall.
