Kane Brown has launched a record label with the flagship trio, Restless Road, marking a full-circle moment for the two acts. The name of Brown’s label has yet to be announced. However, the Restless Road members are Garrett Nichols, Colton Pack and Zack Beeken.

Brown, Beeken and Pack initially met while competing on The X Factor in 2013, and all were eliminated on the show as solo artists. Yet, Pack and Beeken were invited back to compete on the show as a group with singer Adam Scholz and placed fourth in the competition. After their run ended, the group moved to Nashville with ambitions to pursue a record contract.

They eventually signed with a company in 2016; however, none of the music they had written was released. Pack eventually left the band five years after it formed, and despite some lineup changes that included the addition of Garrett Nichols, the group eventually became sidelined.

However, the fate of Restless Road changed when Brown came across the band’s cover of “Good As You” online.

“I was [lying] in bed, and I got a text,” Pack recalls in Restless Road’s new introductory video. “It said, ‘Hey is this Colton?’ I said, ‘Yeah, it is.’ ‘Hey, it’s Kane. I just saw your cover video of ‘Good As You.’ He said, ‘I’m really wanting to start working with new artists, and I’ve seen your video, and I want to know if you want to work with me?’”

Restless Road will release its debut four-song EP at midnight ET on Wednesday (Feb. 26) featuring the Brown collaboration, “Take Me Home,” which gives a nod to John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

The band celebrated the release with an invitation-only show at Nashville’s WME headquarters on Tuesday evening (Feb. 25).
