Kane Brown – I Can Feel It Music Video

Kane Brown elevates his just-released single, “I Can Feel It,” with a brand-new music video that finds him tackling a challenge head-on.

The video, directed by CMT Award winner Alex Alvga, opens with a scene inside a car repair shop where the country star appears to be working to try and make ends meet after his dreams of being a racer seemed to fall short. However, when a new opportunity comes knocking at his door offering him a way back into the action, Brown comes face-to-face with the difficult decision to return to chapter of life that’s been looming over his head or continue to struggle down his current path.

The “Thank God” singer puts his acting skills to the test throughout the clip as the high-energy song sets the tone for the building narrative. With its passion-filled melody and hard-hitting drumbeats, “I Can Feel It” gives fans a taste of Kane Brown’s forthcoming, yet-to-be-announced new album.

As the tune begins, listeners are greeted with a set of familiar drumbeats that were made famous by Phil Collins’ 1981 megahit, “In The Air Tonight.” While Brown’s name appears in the songwriting credits alongside Gabe Foust and Jaxson Free, he also made sure to give credit where it was due.

“It’s a legendary drum fill and it’s a legendary song. There’s no way I could not do that,” Brown told Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 in reference to including Collins’ name in the credits. “I’m the type of guy that I don’t like to screw anybody over. I feel like good karma is, that’s what’s going to keep you going in life. Even if it was a new guy that was working at a small store nobody knew about, I’d definitely give him writer’s credit…Phil could have said no, so I’m glad that he let me use the song.”

Story Behind The Song

As he continued explaining how the song came to be, the genre-bending star explained that at the time, he was brainstorming legendary artists to bring out on tour with him. Then Phill Collins came to mind and a whole new idea suddenly came to fruition.

“We went into the writer’s room in Canada the next day and we had Phil Collins on our mind. We started writing this song and it happens every time. I’ll live with a song for months, a year and then release it as a single. But once Dann Huff got a hold of this, I told him, I was like, ‘I want it live. I want you to bring it alive as if I’m… Think of me being on the road on tour. I want to be able to hear that when we’re listening to this song.’ And he just brought the magic. And I fell in love with it,” he shared.

The rocking intro inspired by Collins flows seamlessly into a countrified jam session led by Brown’s baritone voice. As the five-time American Music Award-winning artist and current CMA Award nominee begins to deliver the lyrics, he entrances listeners with the steamy narrative that illustrates a building tension between two love interests.

“I can feel it in the air / Feel it in the whiskey in my hand / Your hips, your body tells me when you start to dance / Maybe this is turning into a ‘we should probably get up out of here’ / Oh baby I swear / I can feel it in the air,” Brown delivers on the chorus.

Before the new single’s official release on Thursday (Sept. 21), fans had already expressed their words of approval after hearing several teasers shared via social media. Soon, they will get the chance to hear “I Can Feel It” on the airwaves as it’s slated to impact Country Radio on September 25th, according to US Radio Updater.

This single follows Brown’s milestone 10th No.1 at country radio, “Bury Me In Georgia” and his current CMA-nominated, 2X platinum, No. 1 hit, “Thank God” with his wife, Katelyn Brown.
