Kane Brown will honor his wife and daughter during his upcoming 2020 CMT Music Awards performance.
The country superstar will be making the live debut performance of his new single, “Worship You,” and the singer/songwriter says it’s a special one.
“The song I’m performing is a song called ‘Worship You.’ It’s my next single out to country radio,” Brown said ahead of the performance. “When I wrote this song, it was about my wife and then our beautiful baby came into our picture and now it’s kind of around both of them. I worship them. They’re my family and I love them to death.”
Brown’s wife Katelyn and daughter Kingsley are also set to appear in the forthcoming “Worship You” music video. He says that Kingsley even had her own stylist and rider when shooting the video.
“Kingsley already been in two music videos over this quarantine. She’s a little superstar, she’s got her own rider, her own stylist, everything. She’s a diva,” Brown gushed of his daughter. “She had her little Doc Martin’s on, a little dress. But it’s been amazing.”
“Worship You” is set to impact country radio on Oct. 26. The track appears on Brown’s latest EP, Mixtape Vol. 1, and was co-written by Brown alongside Alexander Izquierdo, Ryan Vojtesak and Matt McGinn, Produced by Dann Huff.
The 2020 CMT Music Awards are set to air on Wednesday night (Oct. 21) on CMT and will feature performances from Ashley McBryde, Dan + Shay, Gabby Barrett, Jimmie Allen, Noah Cyrus, Kane Brown, Little Big Town, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Brooks & Dunn, Maren Morris, Morgan Wallen, Sam Hunt and Shania Twain as well as debut performances by Caylee Hammack, HARDY, Ingrid Andress, Mickey Guyton, Riley Green and Travis Denning.
Brown is set to co-host the awards ceremony alongside Ashley McBryde and Sarah Hyland.
