Kelly Clarkson is getting a divorce.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the superstar filed for divorce from husband Brandon Blackstock in Los Angeles on June 4.
The couple married in 2013 and have two children together, River, 5, and Remington, 4. The beloved couple’s split comes as s shock to fans as there were no public signs that their marriage was on the rocks.
Brandon Blackstock is the longtime manager of Blake Shelton and also the son of Narvel Blackstock, the former husband of Reba McEntire. He is also Clarkson’s manager.
According to reports, the couple initially met in 2006 and later reconnected in 2012 at a Super Bowl party. They moved in together nine months after their first date and later got engaged. They wed in Tennessee in the fall of the following year.
This is Clarkson’s first marriage and Blackstock’s second.
