Kelsea Ballerini Shocks Fans with Bold New Hairstyle: ‘Au Naturale’

Award-winning country star Kelsea Ballerini does not shy away from sharing every aspect of her life on social media. While out on tour with the Jonas Brothers – the hitmaker would walk fans through detailed-oriented makeup tutorials, give them a sneak peek into her glamourous tour bus, and would even share behind-the-scene moments from secret projects. 

Therefore, when she took to TikTok late Tuesday night (Nov. 30) to show off her new hairstyle, social media users were not surprised by her bold move to exchange her blonde lushes locks for her natural color. Before making the dramatic decision, the singer received praise for her brunette hair while filming the “half of my hometown” music video back in October.

Following the release of the groundbreaking TikTok that displays a graceful transition from blonde to brunette – the songstress was bombarded with positive feedback. “We STAN a brunette queen!!!!!,” says a user full of excitement. While many individuals showered the singer with support, some even questioned whether or not the fresh look is a “Easter egg.”

However, the sudden change comes off the heels of her successful book launch. 

The 2021 CMT Artist of The Year recently released, Feel Your Way Through – a collection of poems that highlight everything from family, relationships, to self-love. The multi-platinum artist told Audacy’s Katie Neal that she hopes each piece sparks an inspiring or challenging conversation among family and friends. “Something that brings people together and gives people talking points on things that might have been a little taboo, or a little hard to talk about before.”
