Summer 2026 may be winding down, but fans across the U.S. can already start planning for next summer. Kenny Chesney has announced his long-awaited return to the touring circuit with the Original Vibe Room Tour 2027.
Chesney Teased His 2027 Tour
The tour teasers began over the weekend, with stadiums around the country sharing cryptic posts featuring the tour name, Chesney’s iconic palm tree and guitar logo. Fans quickly started putting the pieces together.
By Monday, the internet was buzzing with speculation, and Chesney only added to the excitement when he shared a brief video teaser hinting at the special guests joining him on the road.
Original Vibe Room Tour Marks Chesney’s Return To Stadiums
The Original Vibe Room Tour marks the East Tennessee native’s return to stadiums following a two-year run at the Sphere in Las Vegas, where he sold nearly 400,000 tickets.
The trek kicks off April 24 at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium and will wrap up August 28 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Along the way, the Country Music Hall of Fame member will visit some of the country’s biggest NFL stadiums, including AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and Soldier Field in Chicago. He will also make a highly anticipated stop at the brand-new Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
Why Kenny Chesney Wanted An All-Stadium Tour
“When we started to talk about touring next year, all I could think about was how good those stadiums feel… how loud, how fast, how much energy comes hurling at us,” Chesney shared of his decision to do an all-stadium tour. “I don’t think I knew how much I missed it. And when it hit me, as well watching comments on Instagram and Facebook, I realized: we should make next year be all about the stadiums. So, we did.”
Eric Church, Sheryl Crow & Greylan James Join Chesney
When putting together the lineup, Chesney had his fans in mind. The tour will feature CMA 2020 Entertainer of the Year Eric Church, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and nine-time GRAMMY winner Sheryl Crow, as well as rising singer-songwriter Greylan James.
“To make it really hit, I called Eric, who’d come out that first weekend in Vegas and sang a few with me, to see if he’d want to do this. He was in,” he explained. “Then to give fans a twist, something a little different, but someone who rocks and everyone in No Shoes Nation loves, I asked Sheryl Crow if she wanted to come play with us; and she said, ‘Yes.’ Suddenly, we’ve got all that high-powered energy, and it was starting to feel the same way we did way back in the day…”
The Inspiration Behind The Original Vibe Room Tour
That excitement took Chesney back to the early days of selling a million tickets each summer. As he reflected on his career and how much he missed being on the road, he found himself thinking about his 2002 No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems Tour. That’s when the name Original Vibe Room came to him.
“It was such a rush,” Chesney recalled. “And this feels just like that. Three people who know each other, are friends and love to play taking it out on the road for the summer. That kind of camaraderie matches everything about what made me want to chase this dream in the first place, that adventure and fun defined us. For me, there was only one name: the Original Vibe Room Tour, because this time, with these people, I want everyone in the Vibe.
“We started the Vibe Room in 2002 as a place for our people – the adults, guests, musicians – to come together, get a drink, hang out, meet up, maybe make some new friends. It was a fun place, and I feel like that’s what 2027’s gonna be all about. So what else would we call it?”
Chesney Promises an “Amazing Summer”
And after all the teasing, planning and anticipation, Chesney has one thing left to say to his fans: “It’s gonna be an amazing summer. I can’t believe we’re here again, and I can’t wait to get out there and start doing it. The Original Vibe Room Tour 2027 is gonna be all the things, but especially a lot of fun, a lot of music and a lot of songs people have lived their lives to.
