After making history as the first solo headliner and first country artist to perform inside the Las Vegas Sphere, Kenny Chesney is taking everything he learned from last year’s residency and using it to craft a new show for 2026 with even more songs being added to the set list.

Reflecting on his first run inside the immersive venue, the East Tennessee native noted how performing in this type of setting allowed him to stretch his creativity and experiment with different ways to bring his stories to life.

“Sphere pulled me into so many songs the fans know and love in new ways. And it deepened how I see them. The production possibilities consume you, so we had to go back to really get everything out of it,” he explained.

Seeing such an incredible response from fans who attended those shows has fueled Chesney to want to make a return this summer with a show that’s even bigger than before. He goes on to say that him and his band are still in the planning stages and figuring out what the next set of performances will look like.

“But it’s not just how big or bold it is. Sphere’s layout creates this intimacy that lets me do songs I can’t play in a stadium, songs we love, songs I haven’t played in forever – so the ability to slow the tempo down lets us take this year’s show into some places we just can’t, even pull things out just because. The band and I are talking about it – and figuring out what songs we want to add.”

While he won’t reveal exactly what’s coming, the superstar did promise fans that every song is being considered when it comes to the 2026 set list.

“It’s too soon to know just what we’re going to do,” he admits. “But I promise no song’s been left unturned.”

Anyone who experienced Kenny Chesney’s first run at Sphere knows that these shows delivered a kind of magic that only this venue can create. Months of experimenting with its cutting-edge technology allowed him to explore how visuals, sound, and intimate moments with the crowd could transform his catalog in entirely new ways.

“Having spent last year’s residency coming to really understand this dynamic technology and how it deepens the way we all – me, the band, the fans – experience the music,” he explains, “I wanted to get back in there and really push what was possible. We all had ideas. We were told certain things. But what I really took away is how much fun – and different kinds of experiences people can have – no matter where they experience the show from.”

Chesney has drawn inspiration not only from performing but from watching his fans come together as a community. That feeling of connection with No Shoes Nation extended beyond the stage when fans would line up hours before the Guitars, Tiki Bars Experience opens, gather at the pools, and tune in to No Shoes Radio broadcasting live from Las Vegas. This kind of unity creates a unique space where fans of the 2025 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee can celebrate unforgettable memories through music.

Chesney once again hints at the fact that his upcoming shows in June are expected to be bigger, bolder, and more personal than ever, especially now that they are more in tune with everything the venue has to offer.

“Knowing what we know now, we’re working on new songs, some things we can’t do in stadiums, new visuals, new momentum to the set. Having watched No Shoes Nation taking it all in, we have a much better sense of how to make Sphere even more.”
