Kip Moore Announces 13-Track ‘Damn Love’ Album, Including A Duet With Ashley McBryde
The country star’s fifth studio album is due out April 28.
Kip Moore recently revealed that his next full-length project will be available in April. A few days following this announcement, he unveiled the title track, “Damn Love,” which gives fans the first taste of the new album.
While introducing the new song, Moore took to social media to share a sneak peek of the accompanying music video that will be available on March 1. Co-written by James McNair, Jaren Johnston and Jason Gantt, Moore’s latest release perfectly describes all the highs and lows that come with falling in love. The Multi-PLATINUM singer/songwriter hits the target as he says, “It’s the best and your worst friend.”
“I’ve always had a nomadic spirit, at the core of me that’s what I am, and it’s a beautiful life I lead – I don’t take that for granted,” Moore shared in a statement. “But I still crave that companionship down deep in my DNA, and that’s where ‘Damn Love’ comes from. There’s a reason love and relationships have been written about so much – and why they continue to get written about. Because at the core of us, that’s what we desire the most.”
The infectious melody takes listeners through a relatable narrative equipped with a nostalgic sound while also sparking a modern texture that’s bound to fuel any music-lover’s soul.
“Oh, no you can’t tell it nothing / Oh it’s that strong kind of something / For the bees, for the birds / No surprise, it’s a four letter word / It’ll heal, it’ll kill, it’ll hurt / I hope you’re tough / Damn love,” he sings in the electrifying chorus.

So far, “Damn Love” is the only release off the new project, but with the announcement, Moore also revealed the titles of each of the 13 tracks.
The collection was co-produced by Moore and Jaren Johnston (The Cadillac Three), and is expected to explore an exceptional display of raw emotions through each song. This comes as a result of Moore’s internal tug of war, which describes as “Damn Love.”
According to a press release, “Moore holds on to passion in the persistent anthem, ‘Heart on Fire,’ while ‘Another Night In Knoxville’ captures the magnetic draw of the stage – a sweeping ‘70s-rock ballad that soundtracks a long-cherished memory. Meanwhile the refreshing ‘Kinda Bar’ conjures magic from a roadside tavern, and a comforting sense of clarity arrives with gentle instant classics, ‘Some Things” and “One Heartbeat’ (featuring Ashley McBryde).”
The preview includes a voicemail that finds Moore dumping his sorrowful message on a love interest, as a result of what seems to be an unfinished conversation about the future of their relationship.
After a dial tone, Moore is heard saying, “Hey, I was hoping I could catch you before you left, but look, I’m…I’m really sorry to leave last night with so many things left unsaid. Truth is I can never seem to convey what I really feel when it comes to you, and I know, I know that you need me to do that. Hell, I want to do that. Walking away has never really been that tough for me until now. Just know that I want to give you that life you want, but I’m just not sure I’m capable. Damn love, right?”
Kip Moore will be taking his new music throughout his sold-out headlining shows of 2023 that will take him to Australia, South Africa, the U.K., Europe, beginning May 13. He also posted a video to social media revealing that they decided to add another date to their South Africa visit due to the high ticket demands. He will now be taking the stage for a second show in Cape Town on April 2. In addition, Moore teased that another unannounced city will be added to the run.
Then in June, he will take the stage for the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival held in Manchester, TN.
