Kip Moore is counting down the days until the release of his long-awaited new album with the just-announced “In the Wild Sessions,” an acoustic video series offering fans insight into the songs on his Wild World album.
The first video launched Wednesday (April 8) and showcases the album’s title track, “Wild World.” Featuring vocals from independent artist India Carney and guitar from Melissa Dougherty, the clip finds Moore singing the introspective song in the middle of the Mojave Desert in Southern California.
Now shooting the remaining videos while practicing social distancing at his rock-climbing facility in Kentucky, Moore will continue to roll out videos through the May 29 release of Wild World.
“The ‘In The Wild Sessions’ began as a way to tell the story of these songs in a bare bones kind of way,” Moore shared in a statement. “I love to travel, and so PJ [Brown] and I scouted a spot in the desert in California and hand-picked some independent artists to do the sessions with, as a way of also highlighting their amazing talents too. We shot five videos in the desert and then when our plans changed a little with everything going on, we shifted gears while I’m here in Kentucky in isolation. The scenery here in Red River Gorge is also one of my favorite places to be and so I’m looking forward to also sharing this pocket of the world in some of the videos to come.”
Serving as the follow up to Moore’s 2017 Slowheart album, Wild World includes 13 tracks, 12 of which Moore co-wrote. The album is available for pre-order now HERE.
