Laci Kaye Booth is learning to live with the hand she’s been dealt in her new song, “Luck of the Draw.”

Out now, the poignant track finds the Texas native opening up about family struggles and personal challenges while grappling with life’s uncertainties. Though weighed down and questioning her faith, she remains resilient, turning hardship into heartfelt storytelling.

“’Cause Benny’s doin’ drugs and the rent got higher/ Everybody’s dyin’ and the sky is on fire/ Who messed it up? Who the hell’s holdin’ the cards?/ Losin’ my faith isn’t anything sacred/ I ain’t bein’ bitter, baby, I’m just sayin’/ You could blame me or blame it on the luck of the draw,” she sings, and later adds, “I’ll blame it on the luck of the draw/ Blame it on the luck of the draw…”

In the moody visualizer, Booth portrays a woman carrying the weight of the cards she’s been dealt. Shot in a neon-lit Nashville club, it was directed by Natalie Sakstrup (Zayn, Kylie Minogue), who also directed Booth’s visual for “George F***** Strait.”*
