GRAMMY-winning trio Lady A brought the true meaning of Christmas to life with their CMA Country Christmas performance, reminding viewers of the importance of family this holiday season.

On Monday evening (Nov. 29), the country trio, composed of Hillary Scott, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley, performed a sentimental song that they co-wrote together, “Christmas Through Your Eyes.”

“I feel like we are just so excited any chance we get to be on CMA Country Christmas,” Scott shared ahead of the performance. ”I think this year might be my favorite yet because the song we get to sing is a song that the three of us wrote about our kids and so it’s a real special sentimental song for us to perform.”

“I think it’s a great show every year,” Haywood added. ”So many great country artists are on the program. I love getting to see stories about what everyone’s doing for Christmas, all the other artists and how they celebrate the holidays, so it’s a real special, warm evening. It’s a cozy evening if you will.”

Kelley also said, “So, this year we’re performing a song that the three of us wrote. We’ve performed on the show so many times we just feel so honored to be called back every year, but we’re singing a song called ‘Christmas Through Your Eyes’ and we wrote this about our kids. I mean we kinda were talking about before going into write that gosh, Christmas is so much more enjoyable now that we get to kinda watch that innocence again through the eyes of our children.”
