The New Year is getting off to a good start for Lady Antebellum fans! The award-winning country trio just announced plans to hit the road this summer for the Ocean 2020 Tour.
The ambitious trek begins mid-May and will take the group through notable stops such as Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl before concluding at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The tour, named after their current Ocean album, will feature direct support by Jake Owen as well as Maddie & Tae as tour openers.
Lady Antebellum shared the news of their upcoming tour on social media with a karaoke-themed video. The clip, which can be seen below, shows the artists hanging out with their tour buddies at Nashville’s iconic dive bar, Santa’s Pub, and singing a handful of cover songs in preparation for their upcoming tour. They sing songs like Chumbawamba’s “Tubthumping,” TLC’s “Waterfalls and the late Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.”
While it’s unclear whether those songs will make the cut when the tour comes around, the set will surely include decade-old hits, recent favorites like Lady A’s Top 3 single “What If I Never Get Over You,” and other cuts from their latest album, Ocean.
“After our Vegas residency and working on this record for the past year we are itching to get back out on the road and see how the fans gravitate to some of the deeper cuts off of Ocean,” Lady A’s Charles Kelley said. “We’ve missed those huge crowd sing-alongs and we are looking forward to having Jake Owen and Maddie & Tae light up the stage every night. May can’t come fast enough.”
Tickets for the Ocean 2020 tour will go on sale beginning Jan. 24 for select cities as part of Live Nation’s Country Megaticket at www.Megaticket.com. Citi, the official presale credit card for the tour, will offer cardmembers early access to presale tickets, which can be found at www.citientertainment.com.
