Laine Hardy’s new “Let There Be Country” lyric video celebrates the rising star’s country lifestyle.

The Louisana native got animated for the unique clip, which features a cartoon version of Hardy cruising along the bayou in a boat with his dog. After enjoying a day on the water, the animated version of the 2019 American Idol champ loads his boat onto a trailer, hops in his truck and heads home with his pup by his side.

Laine Hardy recently released a pair of new songs to fans: “Let There Be Country” and  “Ground I Grew Up On.”

The new songs were written by Brandon Kinney, Josh Thompson and Brett Beavers (“Ground I Grew Up On” ) and Jason Afable, Steve Moakler and Tim Nichols (“Let There Be Country”) and offer a tip of the hat to Hardy’s Louisiana upbringing.

“These two songs just describe who I am and how I grew up,” Hardy recently explained to Country Now.

“Where I’m from is just burnt into who I am,” he went on to say. “It’s a permanent thing. It’s always gonna be there. And it’s what makes me happy. It’s where I get my inspiration. So all my influences come from Louisiana, and that’s what I put into my music.”
