Lainey Wilson stepped out in style with her longtime boyfriend, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, by her side. The pair brought their love to the red carpet of the 2024 CMA Awards on Wednesday evening, where the songstress served as co-host for the first time alongside Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.
Ahead of her co-hosting debut, Wilson made her way down the red carpet with “Duck” by her side. Together, they sported coordinating all-black looks with silver accents and topped their ensembles off with black hats.
The couple made their first red carpet debut during the 2023 ACM Awards one month after Wilson dropped a major hint in April of that year by wearing a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey on stage with the same number Hodges wore while playing for the team as quarterback in 2019. She recently returned to Pittsburgh as a stop on her Country’s Cool Again Tour and once again donned a Steelers. Except this time, fans knew it was because she was proudly showing off her former NFL player.
Hodges always shows his love for Wilson by cheering her on at concerts and award shows and watching as she lives out her dreams each day. She is fresh off the road from back-to-back shows in Monroe, LA and headed into the highly anticipated night as a co-host and a four-time nominee.
During the show, Wilson extended her reign as Female Vocalist of the Year, earning her third consecutive win in the category. She also took home the CMA Award for Music Video of the Year for her “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” video, which was directed by Patrick Tracy.
During the show, Wilson pulled double duty as a co-host and performer, taking the stage to deliver a performance of her latest chart-climbing single, “4x4xU.” For the performance, the Louisiana native, brought elements of her Country’s Cool Again Tour to the stage as she delivered part of the song from the tailgate of a pickup truck. Later, she made her way to the front of the stage as a stunning nighttime skyline lit up the stage behind her and a bonfire burned in the background.
This marked Wilson’s first time co-hosting with Peyton and Luke and was a dream-come-true moment for the superstar.
“I could not be more excited to host the CMA Awards this year with Luke and Peyton,” Wilson previously shared. “It’s such an incredible honor and something I’ve always dreamed of doing. We’re planning a really great show for y’all, so make sure to watch on November 20!”
“Country Music’s Biggest Night” aired live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on ABC. The show is available to stream now on Hulu.
