Lainey Wilson cried happy tears when The Academy Of Country Music announced her name as a nominee for the 2022 ACM Awards, earning three nominations, including Song Of The Year (“Things A Man Oughta Know“), as the artist and songwriter, and New Female Artist Of The Year.

The fast rising country star quickly took to social media after hearing the exciting news on Thursday morning (Feb. 10).

“Holy shit y’all. I seriously can not believe it! I’m typing this through happy tears ❤️🥺” Wilson wrote. “I’m so honored to be nominated for song of the year and new female artist! Can’t wait for the @acmawards! Y’all make sure to tune in March 7.”

Wilson is nominated in the New Female Artist Of The Year category alongside Tenille Arts, Priscilla Block, Lily Rose and Caitlyn Smith.

Also nominated in the Song Of The Year category are Kenny Chesney (“Knowing You”), Morgan Wallen (“7 Summers”), Jordan Davis featuring Luke Bryan (“Buy Dirt”), and Walker Hayes (“Fancy Like”).

Co-hosted by global icon Dolly Parton and reigning New Female and Male Artist Of The Year, Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen, the 2022 ACM Awards will take place on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

“I am so excited to be hosting the ACM Awards on March 7 from Vegas. Watch for us because we’re going to have some fun,” Parton previously shared.

For the first time ever, the show will stream on Prime Video in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, rather than on CBS. This marks the first time a major awards show has livestreamed exclusively.

The show promises to be a nonstop party, bringing legendary artists together with today’s favorites for exciting and unexpected collaborations, surprising moments fans will never forget, and world television-premiere performances.

More details, including the ACM Awards performance lineup, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets to attend the 2022 ACM Awards are currently on-sale at Ticketmaster.com.
