Country star Lauren Alaina has been bringing the heat on each episode of Season 28’s Dancing with the Stars. And, on Monday (Sept. 30), she turned heads once again during the show’s epic “Movie Night” themed episode, where competitors danced along to music from various popular films.
As the first pairing of the evening, Alaina and her pro partner Gleb Savchenko impressed both viewers and judges with a passionate tango routine set to Roy Orbison’s “Pretty Woman.”
To honor the movie of the same name, the pair worked across the floor in the presence of a flashy, red Chevy Camaro. Alaina, who channeled actress Julia Roberts’ Pretty Woman character, paired a sassy, animal print top and sparkly skirt with knee-high boots. Her partner, meanwhile, took on the role of actor Richard Gere by donning a grey-colored tuxedo. Together, the dance partners effortlessly executed each step of their routine before wrapping up their dance with a final pose.

“I told my dad not to watch this,” Alaina adorably confessed after treating audience members to the seductive performance.
Despite feeling a bit embarrassed, she and Savchenko put smiles on all three of the judges’ faces.
“This was full of attack, drive and purpose,” judge Len Goodman commented. “A little bit stubborn start here and there, but the tango you did, I thought was excellent. Your left arm could’ve gone a little bit lower around Gleb, but for attitude and getting out there, it was terrific!”
The rest of the panel agreed with Goodman with Bruno Tunoli calling the performance “full throttle” and Carrie Ann Inaba praising Alaina for showing continued confidence. After sharing their opinions, the judges gave a collective score of 20/30 – the highest so far for Alaina and Savchenko.
Like last week’s episode of DWTS, fans could text in their votes leading up to the final dance of the night. Once votes were in, judges had the option to save one of the bottom two couples. Luckily for all of the competitors, no one went home this time. Judges were able to make that decision since Super Bowl MVP Ray Lewis and dancer Cheryl Burke’s announced via Instagram that they were bowing out of the competition due to an injury that the NFL player sustained.
Fans can keep up with Dancing with the Stars by tuning in every Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
