Lauren Alaina is taking a stand against online critics who have been weighing in on her parenting choices without knowing the reality of her situation.

In a new video shared across her social media platforms, the female country star addressed the comments she’s received by taking part in a new viral trend, which found her pretending to speak to someone off-camera, then turning back to say the line, “Who said that?” This trend has become a lighthearted way for users to share unfiltered opinions or hot takes on a certain topic.

Alaina started off by addressing the video she previously posted that sparked the initial criticism.

“Just because I posted a video of myself watching my daughter’s bottles does not give you the right to shame me and harass me and tell me that I should be breastfeeding my child when in reality I’m triple feeding my child,” she began.

The Georgia native went on to explain that although her “number one goal” is to solely breast feed her baby girl Beni Doll, there have been some unexpected challenges that have made that nearly impossible to do right now.

“She can’t latch properly. So we’ve been seeing lactation specialists and feeding specialists to try to resolve the problem. So I am having to bottle feed her, try to latch her and pump every two hours.”

At the very end of her message, Alaina told the mom-shamers to “mind your business.”

“You don’t know me and I don’t know you, and let’s keep it that way,” she said before completing the trend by asking, “Who said that?”

Fans Show Support For Lauren’s Powerful Statement

Thousands of moms as well as fellow female country acts came to Lauren Alaina’s defense, flooding the comment section with support, applauding the singer for her honesty and vulnerability during such a challenging and personal journey.

Martina McBride wrote, “Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!👏👏👏”

Mackenzie Porter also wrote, “Killing it momma !!!!”

Although neither member of sister duo Tigirlily Gold are moms, they still encouraged Alaina to “Tell em!!”

Meeting Their Little Girl

Lauren Alaina and her husband Cam Arnold welcomed their precious little girl into the world on June 11, 2025. She weighed in at 7 lbs 13oz. and measuring 19 inches long.

“The right words are hard to find to describe how parts of my heart that I didn’t even knew existed were unlocked at 8:44 am when they laid you on my belly for the first time. I will never be the same. You, to your dad and me, are absolute perfection,” she wrote at the time of Beni Doll’s arrival. “We are honored God chose us to be your parents. Thank you to everyone for all of the love, prayers and support for our precious daughter.”

The Story Behind Beni Doll’s Name

The couple recently revealed the story behind their daughter’s unique name, noting that both her first and middle name are connected to two different family members.

The name Beni comes from Alaina’s grandpa, Papa Benny, and also means “crimson” in Japanese. Finding out this new meaning of the name made it even more sentimental given the “Those Kind Of Women” singer’s late father’s love for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Cam then revealed that he shares the middle name, Doll, which stems from his Aunt – Lucy Doll Arnold.

Alongside her daughter’s arrival, Lauren released “Heaven Sent,” a heartfelt track that she penned with HARDY and Ben Johnson that captures the emotions and surprises behind her journey to motherhood.

For now, she has trading tour buses and life on the road for breast pumps, diaper changes and a different kind of late night, but only for a little while. She is currently set to return to the stage for select shows in August and September.
