Gabby Barrett has dropped a new song titled, “Cowboy Back” as a tribute to her Husband Cade Foehner, and all the men who aren’t afraid of a little hard work.
Written by Barrett with Jon Nite and Jesse Frasure the driven country anthem celebrates men like her husband, whom she fell in love with as a result of his good values, kind heart, and strong work ethic. Fans have already gotten a taste of the highly anticipated tune from Barrett’s recent live performances, but now the full version is available in all its upbeat, hip-swaying glory.
New Track Out Now
“I was inspired by my wonderful husband, a Texan, when I was writing this one,” Barrett shared in a recent statement. “‘Cowboy Back’ is all about appreciating the hard working guys out there with strong values – those who are authentically ‘country.’”
As she lets her heart guide the way for the spirited tune, the Warner Music Nashville MULTI-PLATINUM star highlights the cowboy spirit while once again adding her own flare to a classic country love song. Barrett serves as a co-producer on “Cowboy Back” alongside Ross Copperman.
“Bring back them Carhartts baby / Break down them old Luccheses / Black Stetson keep the sun out your eyes / My shotgun ride or die / ‘Yes, ma’am’ with a Southern accent / Stand up for what needs standin’ / Thank God I got a man like that / Look at you bringin’ cowboy back,” Barrett sings on the chorus as the fiddle-laced, boot stomping sound soars underneath.

“Cowboy Back” marks the second release off the female singer/songwriter’s forthcoming sophomore album following her current Top 30-and-climbing single, “Glory Days.”
Next Album Coming Soon
While fans have yet to hear when the project will be released, Barrett told Entertainment Tonight that it is expected to debut before the end of the year.
“Hopefully, like, early fall is the goal,” Barrett hinted.
Along with “Glory Days,” the album is also expected to feature songs co-written by Luke Combs and Miranda Lambert.
The Pennsylvania native’s forthcoming album will follow her record-breaking debut album, Goldmine, which spawned chart-topping hits such as “The Good Ones” and her debut single, “I Hope.” Barrett then released a deluxe edition of Goldmine, which featured four new songs, including “Pick Me Up,” “Never Get It Back,” “The Good Ones (Wedding Version),” and a cover of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You” in addition to the 13 original tracks.
A Tribute To The Judds
In addition, it was recently announced that Gaby Barrett has been tapped to join the select group of artists appearing on a compilation album called A Tribute To The Judds. This collection will be delivered on October 27 in celebration of The Judds’ 40th anniversary.
Baby No.3
Alongside all her pending new music, Barrett is also preparing to welcome baby No.3 with her husband Foehner. The pair are also parents to Augustine Boone (9 months) and Baylah May (2 years).
Taking to social media on Wednesday (Aug. 30) they both announced the exciting news with fans through a joint post that found the lovebirds sitting close together on stage during a rehearsal. In front of them was a speaker with the message “baby #3” written on the front.
The post included three slides, ending with a photo of Barrett lying down with a Baby Doppler on her belly, which allows her to hear the baby’s heartbeat from home.
“SWIPE for a surprise 🩷 #livingthedream,” Gabby Barrett captioned the photo on Instagram.
Barrett and her husband met back in 2018 when they both appeared on Season 16 of American Idol. Their relationship continued to flourish and Foehner proposed in March of 2019, leading them to tie the knot on October 5, 2019, during a small wedding in Garrison, Texas.
In honor of their four-year wedding anniversary, Barrett once again took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message that celebrates their love and commitment to one another.
Her caption read, “Happy 4 years of marriage my dear. Marriage teaches so much and I’m thankful God gave me YOU to walk it out with. You are my favorite person and always will be. Thank you for being such a strong hold for our family and children. I love you. 10/5/19.”
This news comes after a busy summer for Gabby Barrett who spent much of her time on the road performing select dates on tour with Kane Brown.
She has yet to announce any upcoming tour dates as she continues to work on the next chapter of her personal and professional life.
