LISTEN: Parker McCollum Reflects On Insecurities In ‘Hope That I’m Enough’

Parker McCollum gives fans another glimpse of his upcoming fifth studio album, PARKER MCCOLLUM, due out June 27. His latest release, “Hope That I’m Enough,” delivers a raw and emotional look at love and the struggle to feel worthy.

Written by McCollum, Matt Jenkins and Jessi Alexander, and produced by Frank Liddell and Eric Masse, the fresh release showcases the Texas native’s softer side, as his warm vocals explore the fear of not being enough for someone who means everything to him. While he admits his other half will “always be plenty,” he’s constantly left wondering if he will be able to live up to the standards that she deserves.

“I can be so reckless/ So damn hard to hold/ You’re my one and winner/ Somehow when I close/ Fall like leaves that turn to rust,” McCollum sings before moving into the brief yet incredibly powerful chorus, “You’ll always be plenty/ I just hope that I’m enough.”

His intimate confessional sits amid the airy production with standout sounds of soulful acoustic guitar strums and poignant steel guitar. “Hope That I’m Enough” is truly a love song for the ages with raw emotion and bittersweet sentiment at its core.

“Knew this one would be special the second I wrote it…,” McCollum admitted in a new Instagram post.

The release of this track follows McCollum’s first single off the forthcoming album, “What Kinda Man.” Both tunes capture that mix of sadness, uncertainty while also displaying a strong desire to be the best version of himself for that other person.

“What Kinda Man” particularly shines a light on his real-life story because before meeting his now-wife, Hallie Ray Light, he was in the midst of his more rebellious years. The moment that girl walked into his life, the same way we see her do in the song and music video, he was willing to clean up his act and do just about anything to be the kind of man that she needed him to be.

Much like these deliveries, the upcoming project is destined to be filled with intense emotions and expert storytelling. It was produced by Grammy award-winning, Frank Lindell and Eric Masse, and recorded at the legendary Power Station recording studio in New York City.

Fans will find McCollum exploring the highs and lows of his “wild years,” the weight of living up to expectations in his personal and professional life, the bad decisions he made along the way, and the gratitude he now holds for the unexpected blessings that have shaped his journey so far.

McCollum announced the album during his sold-out appearance at this year’s Rodeo Houston. In the midst of performing to a record crowd of 71,216 fans, he revealed the title and release date for his fifth studio album.

“It is the best thing I’ve ever done. This record is honest, this record is raw, this record is one thousand percent authentic, Parker, and it feels really good to get back to writing and recording songs like I always wanted to,” shared McCollum.

The singer/songwriter also recently added new dates to his rebranded 2025 headline tour. The trek now dubbed the Parker McCollum Tour will feature special guests Ashley Cooke, Corey Smith, Hudson Westbrook, Kameron Marlowe, Laci Kaye Booth and Vincent Mason on select dates.
