Country hitmaker Sam Hunt is back with a brand new song, “23.”
The nostalgic track has the superstar looking back at a past relationship, fondly reminiscing on all of the memories he shared with an ex lover. And although they’ve moved on from each other, he admits he still cherishes the times they shared together.
“No matter where I go, no matter what I do/ I’ll never be 23 with anyone but you/ You can marry who you want/ Go back to Tennessee/ But you’ll never be 23 with anyone but me,” Hunt sweetly sings on the chorus, adding, “We’ll always have Folly beach/ We’ll always have delta nights/ We’ll always be in-between real love and real life.”
Hunt co-wrote “23” alongside Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, and Chris LaCorte, who also produced the track.
The Georgia native first previewed the song in the summer of 2020 as part of his appearance on the virtual 2020 Highway Finds Fest on Sirius XM.
After his acoustic performing of the track, fans begged the superstar to release the song to streaming platforms.

This is the first taste of new music from Hunt since the release of his critically acclaimed album, Southside, which produced hits such as “Breaking Up Was Easy in the 90’s,” “Kinfolks,” and “Hard To Forget.”
Hunt currently has tour dates planned through October 2, including an appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 17.
