Luke Bryan’s youngest son, Tatum “Tate” Christopher received the ultimate birthday surprise and it brought the country superstar to tears.
Bryan’s nephew, Til, returned home from college to surprise Tate for his 10th birthday. While his wife, Caroline, set up the surprise, telling Tate, “There is one little surprise for your birthday,” Til comes around the corner as Tate runs toward him. Til scoops the birthday boy up and hugs him tight as Tate tightens his grip around Til’s neck.
“Oh buddy, I missed you,” Til tells Tate as Bryan confesses, “I’m literally crying” as he watches on.
The “One Margarita” singer shared a video of the touching moment on Instagram, writing, “Omg. I’m crying. Tate just got his 10th birthday surprise. Til!!! Happy birthday buddy. 😭”
Caroline also shared a clip of the emotional moment on Instagram and went on to admit she needs “a bottle of rosé” to cope with all of the emotions she’s feeling.
Luke and Caroline bid farewell to Til earlier this month when he left their home to attend college in Georgia.
Til and his sisters, Jordan and Kris, joined Luke and Caroline’s immediate family after their father, Ben Lee Cheshire, who was married to Bryan’s late sister, Kelly, passed away in 2014.
Luke and Caroline “never thought twice” about taking their nieces and nephew in and since then, they’ve grown even closer.
Luke Bryan’s new album, BORN HERE LIVE HERE DIE HERE, is available now.
