Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline are rallying around their oldest son, Bo Bryan, after breaking his collarbone during a high school football game on Friday night, October 16.
The 18-year-old quarterback was leading his team at Battle Ground Academy against Pope John Paul II over the weekend when he went down following a hard hit in the opening quarter. The Tennessean reported that the high schooler landed on his right shoulder following the impact. He spent the rest of the game watching from the sidelines with his shoulder pads off and his arm supported in a sling.

Bo later confirmed the injury in a post to his Instagram story and expressed gratitude for everyone who had reached out with messages of support.
“Broke my collarbone last night,” he wrote. “Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. We will be back.”
Bryan’s wife Caroline also took to social media to share a photo of the three of them, with Bo in a hospital gown and his arm in a sling.
She wrote, “Not the best day for Bo, or our family, but he’ll be back!!!! Dang collarbone…and of course Luke can’t take a serious picture!”
The “Country And She Knows It” singer also shared an update with a video capturing their drive to the hospital.
“Well, going for surgery,” Bryan stated.
It’s unclear how long Bo will have to stay on the sidelines while he recovers from the serious injury.
Luke Bryan has made his son’s senior football season a priority this year, even adjusting his touring schedule to make sure he is there to catch the good and the bad moments. The country star has reportedly kept his Friday nights open this fall so he can cheer on Bo from the stands and support him throughout his final year of high school football.
The injury comes as Bo has been making his mark as Battle Ground Academy’s starting quarterback. In his first full season in the role, he has helped the Wildcats achieve an impressive 6-1 record.
He has already earned multiple scholarship offers to play college football, but has yet to announce which school he will be committing to after graduating high school.
