Luke Bryan just released the music video for his latest single, “Knockin’ Boots,” and like the song, the video is pure fun.
Trading in a stadium-sized stage for a small one in a dark dance hall, Bryan and his crew act as the house band. As couples pair off, dance and even makeout around him, Bryan continues to sing the feel-good tune, providing the perfect soundtrack for the couples’ night on the town.
“From the moment I heard this song I knew I had to get in the studio and record it,” Luke previously shared of the song, which was written by Hillary Lindsey, Gordie Sampson and Jon Nite. “I just couldn’t get it out of my head. This may be the fastest turn around I have ever done with a song.”
With its stripped down production elements, the song took Bryan a bit out of his comfort zone in the studio. But he’s happy he took the risk.
“This song sets the tone for my new album because it’s a different sounding song for me. The production is really, really sparse, and it really is open, and it breathes and it kinda lets me tell the story about the song,” the superstar explained. “The main thing about the song is it’s just fun. It’s gonna be so fun to have out for the summer tour.”
“Knockin’ Boots” was released this spring, following Bryan’s 22nd career No.1 single “What Makes You Country.” It is the lead single from his forthcoming album, expected to be released later this year.
In the meantime, fans can catch Bryan on his headlining Sunset Repeat Tour, which runs through the fall. Click HERE to see if he’s coming to a city near you.
