Luke Bryan celebrated the release of his new album, BORN HERE LIVE HERE DIE HERE, with a three-song performance on NBC’s TODAY Show.

The superstar delivered a heartfelt performance of the emotional album cut, “Build Me A Daddy,” as well as lively renditions of the chart-topping singles, “Knockin’ Boots” and “One Margarita.”

Prior to his performances, Bryan opened up about postponing his album, which was originally scheduled to release in April.

“It was obviously not the time to be putting an album out, so we just delayed the release until today,” Bryan shared, referring to the beginning stages of the coronavirus outbreak.

He went on the chat about “Build Me A Daddy” and revealed that the poignant song didn’t initially make the cut for the record, however, when he saw the way people were responding to it, he knew it had to be on the album.

“The beauty of country music is we’re able to talk about so many things in the whole scheme of life…” the Georgia native explained. “It was a song that was so sad that I almost did not put it on the album, but then, after seeing how it affected people, I had to.”

BORN HERE LIVE HERE DIE HERE is available to stream and purchase now. Click below to watch Luke Bryan perform “Build Me A Daddy,” “Knockin’ Boots” and “One Margarita.”
