Luke Bryan’s mom LeClaire challenged her 15-year-old grandson, Thomas Boyer “Bo” Bryan, to a fishing competition after he caught a 10-pound bass.
On Monday (May 8), the “But I Got A Beer In My Hand” singer took to social media to welcome his son to “the 10 pound club.”
Luke shared a photo of himself alongside Bo, who is seen holding a massive 10 pound bass. The country hitmaker tagged 4x Bassmaster Classic Champion Kevin VanDam, hit songwriter Dallas Davidson and his property manager, Troy Goldsby, in the photo.
Luke’s mom LeClaire quickly took to the comments to provoke a friendly fishing duel.
“Way to go Bo. When I get there it will be on big time. Competition fishing and you ain’t taking my rig,” LeClaire wrote.
Bo isn’t the first member of the Bryan family to join the “10 pound club,” as in February his son Tatum “Tate” Christopher Bryan scored a 12-pounder.
“Took me 45 years to break 10 pounds. Tate did it in 12,” Luke captioned a photo at the time.
In June of 2022, Luke Bryan caught his first fish that weighed in over 10 pounds.
“I’ve been waiting my whole life for this moment. 11.6 baby,” Luke wrote alongside a video.
LeClaire is an avid fisherman and often shares photos and videos of her fishing adventures in Florida.
In March of 2021, LeClaire won a private fishing tournament, beating her longtime friend Doug.
“First fishing tournament of season. Me and Doug catching sand trout at canal. I won 8 to 7. Private tournament,” LeClaire said.
Bo celebrated another life milestone recently when he got his learner’s permit. Luke Bryan’s wife, Caroline, celebrated the moment on Instagram with a video fo Bo in the driver’s seat.
“Bo Bryan just got his driver’s permit. Some of y’all might want to take the bus for a while! 🤡 🚘 Here we go!!,”” she wrote.
LeClaire commented on the post with a key piece of advice for the new driver.
“Just please watch the other drivers that’s the key. Proud of you,” she wrote.
Luke Bryan recently shared his brand-new single, “But I Got A Beer In My Hand,” a tune co-written by Chase McGill, Matt Dragstrem and Geoff Warburton.
Co-produced by Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens, “But I Got A Beer In My Hand” will serve as his new single and is set to impact Country radio on May 15.
Additionally, the five-time Entertainer Of The Year will kick off his Country On Tour on June 15 in Syracuse, New York. The trek, which runs through October 28, will visit 36 cities across the United States with stops in Philadelphia, Nashville, Charlotte, and more.
Chayce Beckham, Tyler Braden, Ashley Cooke, Jackson Dean, Jon Langston, Conner Smith, Alana Springsteen, and Hailey Whitters will join Bryan on the run alongside DJ Rock.
Later this year, Luke Bryan will take to the road for his 14th annual Farm Tour, which is set to run from September 14 through September 23. The trek will find Bryan visiting five farms, including Mulberry Orchard (Shelbyville, KY), Miller Family Farm (Millersport, OH), Schnell Family Farms (Colfax, IA), Klondike Farms (Brooklyn, WI) and Gar-Lin Dairy LLC (Eyota, MN).
The Georgia native will add a special guest to The Farm Tour at a later date.
“One of the reasons we created these Farm Tour shows – to bring the big-city tour to the people,” Bryan explained in a press release. “These nights are one-of-a-kind and we really enjoy getting to know the farmers and their families, love the whole atmosphere of playing on these incredible farms and watching entire communities come together and get excited about these shows.”
Additionally, Luke Bryan is currently serving as a judge on American Idol for the sixth consecutive season alongside Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.
