Luke Combs made a rare appearance on social media late Thursday to share a “life update” with fans, offering a bit of news about new music, an upcoming tour, and what he’s been up to recently.
The self-style video began with him joking about doing a “get ready with me to go to the studio” while sitting in his truck.
A second later, after popping a Zyn in his mouth, he quipped, “All right, we’re ready to go to the studio now.”

All jokes aside, the superstar took a moment to showcase his gratitude for fans for being patient with him during this season of life as he raises his two sons, Tex and Beau, alongside his wife.
“I wanted to get on here and just say thank you guys for allowing me to have this time off with my family. I’m really excited to get to spend time with my wife and the boys,” he shared.
He went on to explain why he’s been somewhat MIA from social media recently, revealing that he’s been focusing on life at home as a dad and husband.
“I know that I’ve been dark on social media for a while. Not dark, but just not doing it as much as I should or as much as maybe I want to. I think that just comes with being busy with the kids. My truck’s full of rubber duckies and Turkey calls and my kids play with and stuff,” he said. “But yeah, that’s just kind of what my life’s been is being a dad.”
As he sat in the parking lot of the studio, Combs promised that new music is in fact on the way and that he’s “getting back in the saddle.” The North Carolina native also shared that he has been putting the finishing touches on a “big tour” for 2026.
“I got some awesome festivals coming up this year. Some of you guys may know that headlining Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo playing Newport Folk Festival. Just stuff that we’ve never done. Stuff I’m excited about and got a big tour coming next year. I just kind of finalized a lot of the details on that here in the last week or so,” he told fans. “So new record coming up soon, new tour coming up.”

Overall, Combs admitted that he is “excited” and happy to be “back.”
“I’m back doing stuff and being around and obviously spending time at home, but I just wanted to be able to talk to you guys again, just kind of meeting you. I know I used to do stuff like this a lot and I miss doing it. So anyways, love you guys and gosh, see you soon.”
In the caption, Combs teased, “There also may or may not be an Easter egg regarding new music in this video that will one day make sense.”
Fans were quick to point out the fact that he was wearing a Pam Tillis t-shirt. The country music icon even comments on the video, writing, “That’s a very cool shirt. Can’t Wait to hear the new music.”
So there a collaboration on the way? Only time will tell.
While most fans expressed their excitement within the comments section of the video, others, including several of Combs’ artist friends, couldn’t help but be distracted by the amount of garage door openers that Combs had attached to his truck’s sun visor in the video.

Muscadine Bloodline wrote, “How many garages you got?” and His “Backup Plan” duet partner, Bailey Zimmerman, pointed out, “Having that many clickers is goals bro.”
How wife, Nicole, even chimed in, writing, “Not the clickers again haha”
Combs forthcoming, yet-to-be-announced new album will serve as the follow up to 2024’s Fathers & Sons.
