Country music fans can raise their glasses because Luke Combs’ brand new EP, The Prequel, is out now.

The five-song set, produced by Scott Moffatt, includes the singer’s record-setting lead single, “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” which he recently performed to close out the 2019 CMT Music Awards.

Other new tracks on the project include “Refrigerator Door,” “Even Though I’m Leaving,” “Lovin’ On You” and “Moon Over Mexico.”

“Refrigerator Door,” which Combs has previously performed while on tour, was written with Jordan Brooker. The nostalgic tune finds Combs looking back at earlier moments of his life through pictures and postcards that hang up on his refrigerator door. If released as a single, “Refrigerator Door” will undoubtedly rise to the top of the charts.

Another song on the project, “Lovin’ On You,” is an upbeat throwback to the ‘90s. Throughout the song, Combs namechecks good buddies Brooks & Dunn, while explaining that all of his favorite things don’t measure up to how he feels about the woman in his life. Combs penned “Lovin’ On You” with songwriters Thomas Archer, Ray Fulcher and James McNair.

Combs, who co-wrote all of the tracks on The Prequel, has had a monumental year. Most recently, the superstar won the trophy for Performance of the Year at the 2019 CMT Music Awards for his performance of “Beautiful Crazy” with Leon Bridges on CMT Crossroads. Prior to that, he made history as the first artist to simultaneously top all five Billboard country charts for multiple weeks. The Prequel is the follow up to the deluxe version of Combs’ 2017 debut album, This One’s For You, which includes five No. 1 singles.

Combs is currently in the midst of playing at the annual CMA Music Festival. On June 15, he will resume his headlining Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour. Morgan Wallen, The Cadillac Three and Jameson Rodgers are featured as special guests on select dates of the trek. Fans can visit Combs’ official website for more information on upcoming tour dates.
