After teasing fans with big news on social media for several days, Luke Combs shared his exciting announcement with fans on Thursday morning. With a simple Tweet that read “New album. November 8,” the superstar delivered the news his legion of fans have been waiting for.

Although no other details about the project have been revealed, Combs’ fans are thrilled to finally get a release date for the follow up to Combs’ 2017 debut album, This One’s For You. His record-breaking debut has now spent a whopping 44 weeks at No.1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. With this accomplishment, Combs now holds the record for the longest reign ever for a male artist and second-longest for an artist overall. (He follows just behind Shania Twain’s Come On Over, which spent 50 weeks at No.1 in 1997.)

The release date of his much-anticipated new album comes on the heels of the Combs’ sixth consecutive No.1 single. His fastest-rising single to date, “Beer Never Broke My Heart” sits atop both Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart.

“Beer Never Broke My Heart” is the lead release from Combs’ The Prequel EP, which shot to No.1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart upon its release in June. Following the release, each of the EP’s five tracks were included in the top 25 of Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs Chart, making him the first artist since Johnny Cash in 1959 to accomplish that feat.

Luke Combs, who is the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry, is in the midst of his headlining Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour. Click HERE to see if he’s coming to a city near you this fall.
