After wrapping their time on the first leg of Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty Tour 360, Maddie & Tae are looking forward to enjoying some downtime before their touring schedule picks back up again.
Maddie Marlow and Taylor Dye formed the duo as best friends and remain best friends to this day. They spend a lot of time together on and off stage and even take vacations together. This summer, Marlow and Dye, along with their significant others, plan to head south of the border for a little r&r.
“Our summer plans are going to Cabo together very soon,” Marlow recently revealed. “We are celebrating so many things – the tour, my birthday (July 7th) – and we’re getting our hunky men out and we’re doing a couple’s retreat.”
Their time in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico isn’t completely planned out just yet, but they are happy to have it that way. The thing they’re looking forward to most about vacation is shutting down for a bit.
“I think just turning our brain(s) off. I sometimes think whenever you’re performing in this crazy world that we live in, it’s just hectic and you’re traveling, and just staying put in one place for a week or so and just getting to turn off the brain completely,” Marlow explained. “And then I feel like we’re going to be so creatively, just like, rejuvenated after that.”
Dye couldn’t agree more. The other thing she’s looking forward to?
“I’m going to get a real tan, so I can stop putting a fake one on,” she laughed.
Maddie & Tae’s new EP, One Heart To Another, featuring the emotional “Die From A Broken Heart,” is available now.
