Martina McBride is officially a grandma after her oldest daughter, Delaney, welcomed her first child! The country hitmaker took to social media on Monday to introduce the world to her granddaughter, Mia Katharine.
McBride proudly shared, “She’s here!!! Mia Katharine we love you beyond measure. Mom, Dad, and baby are all doing just great. We are so grateful.”
Her post was accompanied by three photos of her holding her new granddaughter. In one sweet moment, McBride gazed down at the baby girl, while another captured her smiling from ear to ear. In the final photo, she looked directly at the camera with a look of pure joy and love.

McBride’s post was flooded with congratulatory messages as fans shared their excitement over seeing her become a grandmother.
One fan even recalled a memory of McBride being pregnant herself years ago, pointing out just how quickly time passes.
“Now, I could swear YOU were just pregnant singing ‘A Broken Wing.’ Where in the world does the time go,” she wrote.
McBride first announced Delaney’s pregnancy in late April, taking to social media to share her excitement about becoming a grandmother.
“My first baby is having a baby!!!!! We are so excited and happy to be welcoming our first grandchild. We are blessed indeed,” she wrote at the time.
Later, the “Independence Day” singer gave fans a look inside Delaney’s baby shower, which featured a “Baby In Bloom” theme. The floral-themed celebration included a bouquet-making station and baby books for guests to sign. There was even a giant dirt cake to keep with the theme.

“A few weeks ago we celebrated Delaney and her baby with a baby shower. It was such a sweet day. She was surrounded by love, just as she should be. We can’t wait to meet you sweet baby,” McBride shared.
Martina McBride is also mom to two other daughters, Emma and Ava. Her two oldest daughters famously appeared in her “Blessed” music video in 2001, while all three of her girls joined her in the “Teenage Daughters” music video in 2011.
