Country Music Hall of Famer Marty Stuart has found a new friend in country star Zach Top after joining Top’s Cold Beer & Country Music Tour for a run of shows.

Stuart recently took to social media to share the news with fans, posting a series of photos from their time together and praising Top and his band for their love of traditional country music.

“Hear ye – Hear ye – A word from the Kingdom of Twang – My announcement is… let the universe flip, fly and flop because I have a new pal and his name is Zach Top. It only took about 30 seconds once we finally met and shook hands,” Stuart began.

He explained that he quickly developed an appreciation for the “South of Sanity” singer and his band, thanks to their shared love of the genre.

“Zach invited me and the Superlatives to join him and his hard hitting orchestra on his current Cold Beer and Country Music Tour. I’m telling you – for anyone who loves real deal country music, Zach and the boys along with the Superlatives is a box of musical dynamite that knocks the cobwebs out of anybody’s town,” he wrote. “Unapologetic twang – backed by the Archangels of Hillbilly Heaven.”

Stuart also shared that he and the Superlatives have three more shows with Top this weekend in Sioux Falls, S.D., Milwaukee, Wis. and Grand Rapids, Mich., encouraging fans to come out and see them while they’re on the road together.

“There’s three more shows this weekend in Sioux Falls, S.D., Milwaukee, Wis. and Grand Rapids, Mi. C’mon and see what the shouting’s all about. We’re having a ball.”

Zach Top has been turning heads since making his country radio debut with “Sounds Like the Radio” in 2024. He went on to take his hit “I Never Lie” to the top of the country radio charts, earning a growing fan base drawn to his traditional country sound. Like Stuart, fans have embraced the Washington native’s commitment to keeping classic country music alive.
