Country singer Matt Stell and his wife, Kasey, have secretly welcomed a baby in recent months.
The “Prayed For You” singer took to social media on Tuesday (July 14) to give fans a life update after what he described as a relatively quiet period online.
Along with sharing the first photo of their child, Stell also updated fans on his career, including news of a new record deal.

“Hey y’all, how’s it going? Ngl I’m having a pretty good summer so far. In the past couple months I signed a new record deal w @blackriverent put out new music w more on the way and, most bestly, made a baby with my best friend @kaseyharveystell,” he wrote.
Stell assured fans that “Things are good” and said he wanted to use the post as an opportunity to “say hey.”
He also promised that, although he has been less active on social media lately, there is plenty more coming.
“Been a little quiet on here lately but we got a lot in store for y’all coming up,” he wrote.
While the announcement gave fans a glimpse into the couple’s growing family, Stell kept most of the details private. He did not reveal the baby’s name, gender, or birthdate.
Stell’s post was filled with congratulatory messages from friends and fans, including fellow artists like George Birge, who shared, “My brother is back, damn I love this,” and Drew Baldridge, who wrote, “Congrats buddy! Can’t wait to hear all the amazing new music man.”
This isn’t the first time Stell has surprised fans with major personal news.

In early 2025, Stell and Kasey Harvey got engaged and married within the span of just two days. The couple was vacationing in Mexico when Stell proposed on Friday (Jan. 3), and they were so eager to make things official that they tied the knot the very next day.
“What’s up, y’all Hope your Christmas and New Year’s were great. Ours was because on Friday we were in Mexico and we got engaged,” Stell said as his now wife showed off her shiny new ring.
He then revealed the second part of the surprise announcement.

“That was on Friday and on Saturday we got married. I’m not joking. She married me on Saturday. How about them apples?”
Since then, Stell has largely kept his social media focused on his music, choosing to share only select moments from his personal life. The baby announcement marks one of the few times he has invited fans into what’s been happening behind the scenes.
